It usually takes anywhere from 4 – 7 days to avail a Personal Loan from a bank, which also requires a lot of documentation and frequent visits to the branch office. However, the Taplend Personal Loan process is entirely online, and it hardly takes 15 minutes for the entire process depending on your information. The amount is transferred directly to your bank account, available for use anytime and anywhere at your convenience.

For Personal loans, the amount may be disbursed into the specified bank account within 15 minutes provided all the documents and details are correct and in-order.

Yes, PAN Card and Identity and Address Proof (Aadhaar/Driving License) should belong to the user who is registered on Taplend.
No, the documents are not required to be provided again and again. Once your documents have been successfully verified and your Taplend profile is confirmed, you need not re-submit your documents. However, you are required to notify us and upload new documents for verification in case there are any changes in your employment, salary, or residence.
This is the mobile number that is updated in your Aadhaar. For using Aadhaar as your address proof, UIDAI will send you an OTP on this number and we download XML from UIDAI.
Yes. In case your mobile number is not linked to Aadhaar Card you can use Driving License as alternative method of address verification.
No, a photocopy of your Identity and Address Proof (Aadhaar Card/ Driving Licence) or PAN Card will not be accepted. We require an original copy of your documents.
No, you can only get the loan amount transferred to your personal savings bank account.
Yes, it is possible to get the loan amount transferred to a bank account jointly held by you via UPI. However, you should be the primary account holder of that joint bank account.
The loan amount is transferred directly to your bank account via UPI, which is provided by you during the loan application process.
As it is a personal loan and the amount is transferred directly into your bank account, you can use it for the purpose mentioned by you in the loan application.
You need to provide the requisite app permissions before you can login to Taplend. If you are not getting the permissions request, please enable the same on ‘Settings’ section of your phone. An Aadhaar linked mobile is required for using Aadhaar as an option for address verification. You can use alternative method of address verification or you can get your Aadhaar connected to your mobile number by visiting the nearest Aadhaar Centre.
Please ensure that you are taking a clear photo of the original documents. Taking a photo of an existing photo (from another mobile screen or computer screen) may not work.

Usually, the profile confirmation happens within 10 minutes of registration. However, in a few cases we may require some time to verify the profile and the documentation. You will be notified via SMS when your profile is verified. You may also reach out to our customer care at help@taplend.in
There could be many reasons including but not limited to poor credit score, illegible documents, information mismatch. If your loan did not get approved, don’t worry. It is not always or necessarily a reflection of your credit worthiness Whatever the case may be, we will let you know in case your application could not be approved. Also, you may re-apply for a loan in 3 months in such cases.
To begin with, every customer is allocated a maximum disbursal limit up to which he/she can avail of loans on Taplend as the parameters decided as per the information provided. With regular loan applications from Taplend along with timely repayments, there is a good possibility that the maximum disbursal limit increases with time. However, this also depends on other factors like your monthly salary, credit score, and a host of other data points that we get from you when you create your profile. While making timely repayments increases the probability of enhancing your maximum disbursal amount, it does not guarantee the same.
We need your bank account details to disburse the loan amount.
We need to ensure that the bank account that you have provided belongs to you.
You should be the Primary Bank Account Holder and the account should be a Savings Account. Fixed Deposits and Virtual Accounts will not be accepted.
The signing makes the Loan Agreement a legally binding agreement and states that once a loan is disbursed to you, you are liable to pay back the entire amount with interest and other charges as applicable within the maturity of the loan. You cannot avail a loan without signing the Loan Agreement.
Normally the loan is disbursed within 15 minutes to your bank account. In some cases due to bank’s technical reasons, the loan may take up to 24 hours to be approved and disbursed to your bank account.
Yes, you need to install the Taplend app on your mobile phone to apply for a Personal Loan.
It is advisable that you complete your profile in one shot. However, in case you do not have a few documents or information handy while filling in your details, you can always go back and get the relevant collateral and start back from where you left off.

In India, there are 4 well-known Credit Information Companies that track the Credit Score of an individual. They are Experian, CIBIL, CRIF and Equifax. They are entities regulated by law and have all the loan and repayment information of an individual, be it a credit card use, a bank loan, or a telecom postpaid connection.
Taplend has collaborated with the four Credit Information Companies, and they send the repayment history of all Taplend customers after each quarter to these companies.
Your credit limit is decided based on the authenticity of your documents as well as your previous repayment history which can be tracked via your KYC documents.
To begin with, every customer has a set maximum credit limit amount up to which he/she can avail loans on Taplend. There is a good chance of this amount increasing by you availing more loans and making timely repayments. However, this also depends on other factors like your monthly salary, credit score and a host of other data points that we get from you when you create your profile. While making timely repayments increases the probability of enhancing your maximum disbursal amount, it does not guarantee the same.
Once you take a Loan from Taplend and repay it back on time, your credit score improves. This helps you avail a bigger loan at a later stage from a bank or any other financial institution and you will get it at a lower interest rate. However, if you don’t repay the loan on time or default on the same, then your credit score will go down. And, it becomes nearly impossible to avail a loan from a bank due to your poor repayment history. Even if a loan is approved, the interest rate that will be charged will be considerably higher.
While your repayment history on Taplend platform plays a key role in determining your maximum disbursal amount, other factors like your monthly salary and cash flows to your bank account also play a key role in determining how it increases over the months.
Yes, based on your repayment behaviour and documents provided, you may avail a loan with an amount more than ₹ 10,000/- upto ₹ 50,000.
You can repay your loan by heading over to the Repayments section and making an online payment. Currently we support only UPI payments. Other payment options such as Net Banking, Debit Card, Wallet and Bank Transfer will be added soon.

Yes, you can repay your loan anytime you wish to do so, even before the repayment date
As of now, we support online repayments only.
Penalty charges will be applied for everyday that the loan is overdue. Your Credit score will be updated as a defaulter with credit rating agencies (CIBIL, CRIF High Mark etc.) which will make it difficult for you to take loans with any bank or financial institution in the future. Companies also check an individual’s credit score and may not offer you employment if your credit score is bad.
Yes. You can pay the partial payment on the due date and pay the remaining amount later but do note that the interest and penalty will be charged on the remaining amount.
No. Taplend does not provide any option to reschedule or postpone your EMI date
Yes, you can make a prepayment on the Taplend app before your due date.
No, there are no additional charges other than the ones mentioned in the Charges section of the FAQ.
You will receive an SMS on repayment and an email confirming the closure of your Personal Loan Account from Taplend.
There can be times when, because of network issues or issues with the payment gateway, the money gets debited from your account but it does not get accepted by the payment gateway. In that case, you should get your money back within 7 working days. If you still do not get the money back to your account, please get in touch with us on help@taplend.in with screenshots for us to help you.
For our Digital Revolving Personal Loan product, the annualized interest rate varies between 24%-36%.
Processing fee varies from 2% to 10% based on your profile. Taplend incurs a cost while onboarding you, for profile maintenance, Credit Assessment, Face Recognition and providing a platform where you can avail an instant loan at any time. Hence a part of it is being charged as platform fee to continue providing you the maximum benefit of Taplend services.
Since there is some operational effort that goes into performing credit checks and sanctioning the loan, the processing fee is charged upfront from the loan amount. However, this is a standard practice followed by all financial entities.
Convenience fees are charges collected by Payment Gateway for online repayment. This convenience fee amount is added to your repayment amount when you make an online repayment.
Yes, there are late payment charges. Please refer to your sanction letter or loan agreement for the same.
To avoid late payment charges and reporting of delayed payments to Credit Bureaus, you are highly advised to repay on or before the due date.
No, you cannot avail more than one loan at a time on Taplend.
Once a loan is approved and disbursed, the loan terms such as amount and repayment date cannot be changed.
Once a loan is approved and disbursed, you will be given a cool-off window of 3 days in which you can cancel your loan by paying the proportionate charges for the days you have used the loan amount.

Taplend uses the following permissions to access the user’s eligibility and facilitate faster loan disbursal of the loan(s)
– Phone: To collect and monitor specific information about your device including your hardware model, operating system and version, unique device identifier, user profile information, wi-fi information, mobile network information to uniquely identify the devices and ensure that unauthorised devices are not able to act on your behalf helping us to prevent frauds.
– SMS: Collect and monitor transactional SMS about bank transactions, names of transacting parties, a description of the transactions and the amounts for faster loan processing.
– Location: Collect and monitor information about the location of your device to provide serviceability of your loan application, reduce risks associated with your application and also provide customised offers.
– Camera: Camera to allow you to capture images of documents and pictures for loan application.
– Storage: Storage to allow you to upload documents and pictures for loan application.
– Apps: Apps to collect and monitor the list of installed apps in your device for credit profile enrichment.
