    Applying for a Personal Loan through the Taplend Platform is simple, quick, and easy. Just follow the below steps:

    1. Install the Taplend app from the Google Play Store.
    2. Register yourself with your basic details such as First Name, Last Name, Mobile Number and Email Address.
    3. Your profile goes for preliminary evaluation if your profile passes the same you will go forward.
    4. Now you need to complete your KYC process, fill in personal and work details, verify your WhatsApp number and provide the reference contacts.
    5. Then your profile goes for final evaluation to check your eligibility for the products we offer.
    6. Once your profile passes the final evaluation now you can apply for the loan by selecting the loan amount and tenure and go through the complete loan details.
    7. Next step is to verify UPI ID and complete UPI mandate process.
    8. Final step is to go through the sanction letter and sign the Loan Agreement. After the Loan agreement is signed and the amount shall be disbursed into the bank account provided by you within 15 minutes.

  • 8. What is the advantage of availing a personal loan through Taplend over a personal loan directly from a bank?

    It usually takes anywhere from 4 – 7 days to avail a Personal Loan from a bank, which also requires a lot of documentation and frequent visits to the branch office. However, the Taplend Personal Loan process is entirely online, and it hardly takes 15 minutes for the entire process depending on your information. The amount is transferred directly to your bank account, available for use anytime and anywhere at your convenience.

    Taplend is a digital platform and is available across all cities in India.

  • 2. What are the documents I must submit for the Personal Loan?

    Each user who applies for a personal loan will be required to submit two kinds of documents:

    1. PAN: We collect your PAN details to check your Credit Score and other financial parameters;
    2. Proof of Address and Identity: Offline Aadhaar XML  or Driving Licence.

    Each user must mandatorily submit their PAN card along with one of the documents mentioned above as Identity and Address Proof. Please note that submission of Aadhar is voluntary and you may submit any one of the other alternatives provided above.

  • 3. How long does it typically take for me to complete my profile on Taplend and avail a Personal Loan?

    For Personal loans, the amount may be disbursed into the specified bank account within 15 minutes provided all the documents and details are correct and in-order.

  • 4. What documents do I need to apply for a loan in Taplend?

    To apply for loans on Taplend, you need to have your PAN Card and one among your Aadhaar Card or Driving License as your Identity and Address Proof.

  • 5. Is there any precondition for me to apply for a loan in Taplend?

    Yes, PAN Card and Identity and Address Proof (Aadhaar/Driving License) should belong to the user who is registered on Taplend.

  • 6. Do I need to upload the KYC documents every time I take a loan through Taplend?

    No, the documents are not required to be provided again and again. Once your documents have been successfully verified and your Taplend profile is confirmed, you need not re-submit your documents. However, you are required to notify us and upload new documents for verification in case there are any changes in your employment, salary, or residence.

  • 7. What do you mean by mobile linked with Aadhaar?

    This is the mobile number that is updated in your Aadhaar. For using Aadhaar as your address proof, UIDAI will send you an OTP on this number and we download XML from UIDAI.

  • 8. It there any way in which I can apply for a loan in case my mobile number is not linked to Aadhaar Card?

    Yes. In case your mobile number is not linked to Aadhaar Card you can use Driving License as alternative method of address verification.

  • 9. Can I click the photo of a photocopy or scanned copy of my PAN Card or Identity and Address Proof (Aadhaar, Masked E-Aadhaar, Voter ID, Passport)?

    No, a photocopy of your Identity and Address Proof (Aadhaar Card/ Driving Licence) or PAN Card will not be accepted. We require an original copy of your documents.

  • 10. Can I get the amount transferred to someone else’s bank account?

    No, you can only get the loan amount transferred to your personal savings bank account.

  • 11. Is it possible to get the loan amount transferred to a joint bank account?

    Yes, it is possible to get the loan amount transferred to a bank account jointly held by you via UPI. However, you should be the primary account holder of that joint bank account.

  • 12. Where is the loan disbursed?

    The loan amount is transferred directly to your bank account via UPI, which is provided by you during the loan application process.

  • 13. Where can I spend the loan amount?

    As it is a personal loan and the amount is transferred directly into your bank account, you can use it for the purpose mentioned by you in the loan application.

  • 14. I am not able to login to the app for registration, what do I do?

    You need to provide the requisite app permissions before you can login to Taplend. If you are not getting the permissions request, please enable the same on ‘Settings’ section of your phone. If the problem still persists, you can also drop us a mail on help@taplend.in and we shall look into the same.

  • 15. I am facing technical issues during profile completion. What do I do?

    An Aadhaar linked mobile is required for using Aadhaar as an option for address verification. You can use alternative method of address verification or you can get your Aadhaar connected to your mobile number by visiting the nearest Aadhaar Centre.

  • 18. My KYC documents are correct, but they are not getting verified, what do I do?

    Please ensure that you are taking a clear photo of the original documents. Taking a photo of an existing photo (from another mobile screen or computer screen) may not work.

  • 19. Can I send my documents to you over email?

    As of now, we support uploading of documents through the app only.

  • 20. My profession is not listed, what should I do?

    If your profession is not listed, please drop us an email on help@taplend.in and we will add the profession to the list.

  • 21. My profile verification has been pending for more than 24 hours, why?

    Usually, the profile confirmation happens within 10 minutes of registration. However, in a few cases we may require some time to verify the profile and the documentation. You will be notified via SMS when your profile is verified. You may also reach out to our customer care at help@taplend.in

  • 22. My loan application was not approved, what is the reason?

    There could be many reasons including but not limited to poor credit score, illegible documents, information mismatch. If your loan did not get approved, don’t worry. It is not always or necessarily a reflection of your credit worthiness Whatever the case may be, we will let you know in case your application could not be approved. Also, you may re-apply for a loan in 3 months in such cases.

  • 23. Why am I not eligible for a loan of a higher amount, when the maximum disbursal amount as per Taplend is ₹ 50,000?

    To begin with, every customer is allocated a maximum disbursal limit up to which he/she can avail of loans on Taplend as the parameters decided as per the information provided. With regular loan applications from Taplend along with timely repayments, there is a good possibility that the maximum disbursal limit increases with time. However, this also depends on other factors like your monthly salary, credit score, and a host of other data points that we get from you when you create your profile. While making timely repayments increases the probability of enhancing your maximum disbursal amount, it does not guarantee the same.

  • 24. Why do you need my bank account details?

    We need your bank account details to disburse the loan amount.

  • 25. Why do you need to verify my bank account?

    We need to ensure that the bank account that you have provided belongs to you.

  • 26. What are the criteria for a bank account to be verified?

    You should be the Primary Bank Account Holder and the account should be a Savings Account. Fixed Deposits and Virtual Accounts will not be accepted.

  • 27. Why should I sign the Loan Agreement?

    The signing makes the Loan Agreement a legally binding agreement and states that once a loan is disbursed to you, you are liable to pay back the entire amount with interest and other charges as applicable within the maturity of the loan. You cannot avail a loan without signing the Loan Agreement.

  • 28. I applied for a loan, but I did not receive the money immediately. Why?

    Normally the loan is disbursed within 15 minutes to your bank account. In some cases due to bank’s technical reasons, the loan may take up to 24 hours to be approved and disbursed to your bank account.

  • 29. Is it necessary to install the Taplend app to apply for a loan?

    Yes, you need to install the Taplend app on your mobile phone to apply for a Personal Loan.

  • 30. Do I have to complete my profile in one-go?

    It is advisable that you complete your profile in one shot. However, in case you do not have a few documents or information handy while filling in your details, you can always go back and get the relevant collateral and start back from where you left off.

  • 31. What if my app shuts down before I could complete my process?

    You can begin exactly from where you left off, once you restart the app.

  • 32. Are there any hidden fee components that you charge?

  • 33. How do I get to know my monthly repayment schedule?

    You can find it by logging into the app and go to loan history section in my account tab.

  • 34. Do I need to be employed to be able to apply for credit on Taplend?

    Yes, it is mandatory for you to have a regular source of income to be able to avail a loan from Taplend.

  • 35. Is my data safe with Taplend?

    Yes, your data is safe with us. It is transferred over a secure connection to us, and we only share it as per our privacy policy for the purposes of facilitating a loan for you. You can read our privacy policy here.

  • 36. Can someone from outside India apply for a loan via Taplend?

    No. Taplend is open only to Indian citizens above the age of 21 holding an Indian Identity and Address Proof (Aadhaar, PAN, Passport, Voter ID) and Indian PAN Card.

  • 37. Is there any age limit to apply for a Personal Loan via Taplend?

    Yes, there upper age limit of 60 to apply for a Personal Loan via Taplend. However, the lower age limit for an individual to apply for a Personal Loan on Taplend is 21 years.

  • 38. Is there a particular time at which I can avail a loan from Taplend?

    There is no right time, we are an online platform and you can avail a loan through Taplend 24x7x365. As it’s a digital platform, you can do it anywhere & anytime.

  • 39. Can I create a profile on Taplend even if I do not need funds right now?

    Yes, you can. This will only expedite the process when you do need a loan for your personal needs.

  • 1. What do you mean by Credit Score?

    Credit Score is a numerical expression of your creditworthiness and repayment capacities.

  • 2. How do I check my credit limit amount?

    You can check your credit limit or maximum disbursement amount on the Taplend app itself.

  • 3. What are the different entities that track my Credit Score?

    In India, there are 4 well-known Credit Information Companies that track the Credit Score of an individual. They are Experian, CIBIL, CRIF and Equifax. They are entities regulated by law and have all the loan and repayment information of an individual, be it a credit card use, a bank loan, or a telecom postpaid connection.

  • 4. Is Taplend connected with any of these credit agencies?

    Taplend has collaborated with the four Credit Information Companies, and they send the repayment history of all Taplend customers after each quarter to these companies.

  • 5. How is my credit limit decided?

    Your credit limit is decided based on the authenticity of your documents as well as your previous repayment history which can be tracked via your KYC documents.

  • 6. How can I possibly enhance my credit limit?

    To begin with, every customer has a set maximum credit limit amount up to which he/she can avail loans on Taplend. There is a good chance of this amount increasing by you availing more loans and making timely repayments. However, this also depends on other factors like your monthly salary, credit score and a host of other data points that we get from you when you create your profile. While making timely repayments increases the probability of enhancing your maximum disbursal amount, it does not guarantee the same.

  • 7. How is my credit score connected to the Personal Loan that I avail from Taplend?

    Once you take a Loan from Taplend and repay it back on time, your credit score improves. This helps you avail a bigger loan at a later stage from a bank or any other financial institution and you will get it at a lower interest rate. However, if you don’t repay the loan on time or default on the same, then your credit score will go down. And, it becomes nearly impossible to avail a loan from a bank due to your poor repayment history. Even if a loan is approved, the interest rate that will be charged will be considerably higher.

  • 8. Is successful repayment the only criterion for me to increase my maximum disbursal amount?

    While your repayment history on Taplend platform plays a key role in determining your maximum disbursal amount, other factors like your monthly salary and cash flows to your bank account also play a key role in determining how it increases over the months.

  • 9. Is it possible to avail a loan above ₹10,000?

    Yes, based on your repayment behaviour and documents provided, you may avail a loan with an amount more than ₹ 10,000/- upto ₹ 50,000.

  • 1. How can I repay my loan?

    You can repay your loan by heading over to the Repayments section and making an online payment. Currently we support only UPI payments. Other payment options such as Net Banking, Debit Card, Wallet and Bank Transfer will be added soon.

  • 2. What is the repayment date of my loan?

    You can find it by logging into the Taplend app, go to loan history section in my account tab.

  • 3. I am unable to pay on the Taplend app. Is there any other way I can repay the loan?

    No. We support loan repayments only through the Taplend app via UPI. If you are facing an issue while repaying your loan, kindly write to us an email on help@taplend.in and we shall look into it.

  • 4. Can I repay the loan before the due date?

    Yes, you can repay your loan anytime you wish to do so, even before the repayment date

  • 5. Do you have a cash payment option?

    As of now, we support online repayments only.

  • 6. What happens if do not repay on time?

    Penalty charges will be applied for everyday that the loan is overdue. Your Credit score will be updated as a defaulter with credit rating agencies (CIBIL, CRIF High Mark etc.) which will make it difficult for you to take loans with any bank or financial institution in the future. Companies also check an individual’s credit score and may not offer you employment if your credit score is bad.

  • 7. Is there any way in which I can make a partial payment on the due date, and pay the remaining amount later?

    Yes. You can pay the partial payment on the due date and pay the remaining amount later but do note that the interest and penalty will be charged on the remaining amount.

  • 8. Can I reschedule or postpone my EMI date?

    No. Taplend does not provide any option to reschedule or postpone your EMI date

  • 9. Am I allowed to make a prepayment on Taplend?

    Yes, you can make a prepayment on the Taplend app before your due date.

  • 10. Are there any hidden charges on Taplend?

    No, there are no additional charges other than the ones mentioned in the Charges section of the FAQ.

  • 11. How do I get a confirmation about the repayment I make?

    You will receive an SMS on repayment and an email confirming the closure of your Personal Loan Account from Taplend.

  • 12. Money got deducted from my account, but it is not showing on the Taplend app. Why?

    There can be times when, because of network issues or issues with the payment gateway, the money gets debited from your account but it does not get accepted by the payment gateway. In that case, you should get your money back within 7 working days. If you still do not get the money back to your account, please get in touch with us on help@taplend.in with screenshots for us to help you.

  • 1. What is the interest charged on the loans that I avail with Taplend?

    For our Digital Revolving Personal Loan product, the annualized interest rate varies between 24%-36%.

  • 2. What is the processing fee charged on loan taken?

    Processing fee varies from 2% to 10% based on your profile. Taplend incurs a cost while onboarding you, for profile maintenance, Credit Assessment, Face Recognition and providing a platform where you can avail an instant loan at any time. Hence a part of it is being charged as platform fee to continue providing you the maximum benefit of Taplend services.

  • 3. Why are the processing fees charges deducted from my loan amount upfront?

    Since there is some operational effort that goes into performing credit checks and sanctioning the loan, the processing fee is charged upfront from the loan amount. However, this is a standard practice followed by all financial entities.

  • 4. What do you mean by convenience fees?

    Convenience fees are charges collected by Payment Gateway for online repayment. This convenience fee amount is added to your repayment amount when you make an online repayment.

  • 5. Are there any late payment charges?

    Yes, there are late payment charges. Please refer to your sanction letter or loan agreement for the same.

    To avoid late payment charges and reporting of delayed payments to Credit Bureaus, you are highly advised to repay on or before the due date.

     

  • 1. Can I apply for two or more loans simultaneously?

    No, you cannot avail more than one loan at a time on Taplend.

  • 2. Can I change my loan terms?

    Once a loan is approved and disbursed, the loan terms such as amount and repayment date cannot be changed.

  • 3. Can I get my loan cancelled?

    Once a loan is approved and disbursed, you will be given a cool-off window of 3 days in which you can cancel your loan by paying the proportionate charges for the days you have used the loan amount.

  • 5. Are the transactions on Taplend safe?

    Yes, the transactions are secured via a 128-bit SSL encryption.

  • 4. Can I edit my profile details?

    For any profile changes, please drop us a mail on help@taplend.in and we shall revert on the same.

  • 6. What if I change or lose my phone?

    You need to reinstall the Taplend app on your new phone from the same SIM card.

  • 7. What if I change my mobile number or lose my SIM?

    You need to ask your network provider to reissue your lost SIM.

  • 13. What are the permission accessed by Taplend from the user and why?

    Taplend uses the following permissions to access the user’s eligibility and facilitate faster loan disbursal of the loan(s)

    – Phone: To collect and monitor specific information about your device including your hardware model, operating system and version, unique device identifier, user profile information, wi-fi information, mobile network information to uniquely identify the devices and ensure that unauthorised devices are not able to act on your behalf helping us to prevent frauds.

    – SMS: Collect and monitor transactional SMS about bank transactions, names of transacting parties, a description of the transactions and the amounts for faster loan processing.

    – Location: Collect and monitor information about the location of your device to provide serviceability of your loan application, reduce risks associated with your application and also provide customised offers.

    – Camera: Camera to allow you to capture images of documents and pictures for loan application.

    – Storage: Storage to allow you to upload documents and pictures for loan application.
